2023 EDITION

Aix-Marseille night trail

It was the 1st anniversary of the Full Moon trail.

We did everything we could to make the party great. And when it's successful twice in a row, it looks less and less like chance or luck 😉

History will record:

  • The names of the winners of this FULL MOON Trail 2023: Jonathan Moncany and Maggy Bouisse on the Estello course 68,6 kms ; Adelin Grenier and the Canadian Dania Belisle on the Phocéa course 38,5 kms

  • new records to be broken :

    • Jonathan Moncany ran Estello in 5h25'28'' - average speed of 12.65km/h; it must be said that Emmanuel Gault put the fork in his back for more than 60 kilometers!

    • Adelin Grenier blew up Phocea in 2h44'05'' - average speed of 14.08 km/h, who's going to take a chance?

  • the best traffic conditions: a clear, fresh and windless night, to enjoy this transhumance perfumed with herbs from Provence, under the light of the moon. And a radiant spring sun in the morning. But how, how can we still want to go running in the cold, the rain, the mud, the fog and the gray night after that?

  • adjustments of the two courses that have been unanimously approved, with new singles and spicy ass kicking, "made in Razzoli" (and we still retain it...)

  • passionA lot of passion, good mood, beer at the finish, the tired but sparkling smile of the volunteers, partners and runners, a medal that makes people envious, unique trophies, an unbeatable finishing line facing the sea, an organization that is improving.

It's time to enjoy the after-race, to recover, to relive "your" FMT 2023 with its emotional moments, all different, all unique. During our night of celebration, a tragedy struck Marseille which calls for sobriety.

A huge thank you and a big bravo to all the champions, runners, volunteers, partners, institutions. We all lived a unique event. Keep calm and full moon trail

OUR

PLAYGROUND

Aix-en-Provence Marseille

We take you on a 70 kilometre night-time crossing,
magical and lunar in the hills of Marcel Pagnol,
from serene Aix-en-Provence to rebellious Marseille.
Marseille that the most fit runners will come to wake up
with the sun, and that the contemplative ones will find already well awake.

About Full Moon Trail

THE TRAILS

FULL MOON Trail Estello course
FULL MOON Trail course Phocea

It will be necessary to leave Aix-en-Provence at the hour when the city falls asleep,
when the full moon already dominates the sky and the children begin to dream,
to go through these landscapes that Paul Cézanne loved so much.

For you, it will be a waking dream to discover the Sainte-Victoire at the top of the Montaiguet, after 10 nervous kilometres.
Then, on the way to the Pilon du Roi, which will not cease to dominate you,
and even haunt you during the 15 kilometres
of this steeper climb than the topography would have you believe.
