In this blog, we tell you the story behind the scenes. Because the FULL MOON trail is first and foremost a story of men and women ... and even teenagers who each bring their share of talent, energy and know-how to our project.

Today, we explain how you will not all leave with a free T-shirt, and on the contrary it is rather you who could give some as well as your sneakers in Marseille ...

The T-shirt, it is rather you who could give it this time!

In the category "reduction of waste and wastage" of the eco-responsible charter, we have registered: Organization of a collection of sports clothes at the starting village, for the benefit of associations specialized in their reuse / recycling.

If it's like us, you probably have a nice layer of sneakers and t-shirts in your closet that you can't get rid of! So it's time to sort out (and mourn) and regroup the clothes, underwear, tracksuits, shoes, and accessories. You put them in a sealed bag - a garbage bag for example.

The Samu social municipal will collect your donations at the race village and during the race number distribution.
After the race, all your donations will be disinfected and sorted at the Samu social municipal laundry.

These clothes will be distributed during the marauding, but can be given to other associations that come to the Samu social to get supplies.

What is the Samu social municipal de la Ville de MARSEILLE?

The Samu Social Municipal is one of the missions of the Solidarity and Social Action Department of the City of Marseille.

And yes! In Marseille, it is a municipal service, whereas in France, Samu sociaux are rather associations or public interest groups.

The Samu social municipal de la Ville de Marseille fights against extreme exclusion by reaching out to the people concerned, to maintain or recreate social links, and to find the most appropriate response.
The Samu social has created this "out-reach" approach, through the mobile teams that are the maraudes.

Today, it takes the form of a series of actions to fight against extreme exclusion in the community:
- Meeting and re-establishing social links thanks to the outreach teams, offering to take these people to a day care center;
- Listening and directing through the 115;
- Offering homeless people accommodation solutions and providing daily assistance to people in situations of extreme exclusion who refuse any accommodation;
- To take care of the body and clothing hygiene of people living on the street, allowing the most destitute to have access to municipal showers at 4 rue Berton in the 5th district of Marseille;
- To conduct an interview with them in order to direct them towards a course of ordinary care;
- To provide them with administrative assistance...

Concretely on the starting village

Agents of the municipal SAMU Social will collect donations inside the Terrasses du Port shopping center, on Saturday April 9th from 10am to 6pm: clothes, underwear, tracksuits, accessories (belt, cap, gloves etc).
And because we need a little bit of lightness, a "nail tree" will allow you to hang your sneakers (linked together by their laces)!
